Role Description The Research and Data Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur. This role involves conducting data research on education trends, admission patterns, and student profiles to support counseling and product development initiatives. The analyst will perform data analytics on large datasets, generate insights, and create reports and dashboards to guide decision-making for both internal stakeholders and students. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing market research on colleges, courses, and competitive exams, validating data sources, and maintaining up-to-date databases for platforms like Predico – NEET College Predictor. The role also requires clear communication of findings, collaboration with counseling and product teams, and contribution to the continuous improvement of data models and prediction accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Strong data-focused capabilities, including Data Research and Data Analytics skills to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in Market Research, particularly in education, admissions, or related domains, to understand trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support student-facing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, data science, engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or analytics platforms); familiarity with visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau) is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centric environment.
  • Interest in the education and career counseling sector and willingness to learn about admission processes and exam systems like NEET.
