Senior Java Backend Developer

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of scalable and reliable telecom management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java/J2EE, PostgreSQL, SOAP APIs, and telecom EMS platforms. This role involves designing and maintaining backend services, optimizing database performance, integrating network management systems, and supporting mission-critical applications within 4G/5G network environments.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and enterprise applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
• Develop and enhance SOAP-based APIs and integration services for telecom management platforms.
• Work extensively with PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain backend components supporting EMS and FCAPS functionalities.
• Build and optimize high-availability, scalable, and resilient backend systems.
• Design and implement integration solutions with network management and operational support systems.
• Develop Shell and Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational support activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, API, and system performance issues.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, QA teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
• Participate in technical design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.
• Support deployment, release management, and production issue resolution.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within project schedules and business expectations.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8-13 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development and enterprise application development.
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Data Structures.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA, and related Java technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including database design, query tuning, performance optimization, and administration concepts.
• Extensive experience working with SOAP-based APIs and web services integration.
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and service-oriented architecture is desirable.
• Strong understanding of telecom EMS platforms and FCAPS functionality.
• Experience working with 4G/5G network management systems and telecom operations environments.
• Good understanding of YANG models, definitions, and configuration management principles.
• Hands-on expertise in Shell scripting and Python scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex backend and database issues.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, testing methodologies, and release processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure and fast-paced delivery environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
