Position Overview:

The Software Engineer will report to the Technical Lead and work as part of the feature delivery team. The role is focused on implementing business-driven enhancements, long-term change requests, production defect fixes, and technical improvements across back-office and trading-related applications. The role requires strong full‑stack capability, with the ability to work independently in an Agile/Kanban environment.

Financial services experience: Especially knowledge of trade flow and post-trade processes-is preferred. The candidate must be hands-on with C#, .NET Framework, backend services, SQL/Oracle databases, and production debugging. Python, ETL, and data-lake concepts are desirable and will be useful for automation, reporting, and data-driven enhancements.

The role involves close collaboration across the team and regular interaction with business users.

Skills Needed - .Net Framework, C#, Python (nice to have), Entity Framework, Services, Oracle/SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring alignment with MBCL goals and best practices.
• Contributing to the technical delivery of the feature team, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.
• Contributing to the evolution of the MBCL enterprise architecture, ensuring the current technical stack and future direction are aligned.
• Participating in technical governance activities to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.

The candidate should demonstrate the following skills and expertise:

• good at log analysis and exception handling
• Ability to understand, enhance, and maintain existing applications, including legacy systems
• be self-motivated and should be able to work even with limited documentation
• leveraging knowledge of Azure, Git, CI/CD, BDD, and other DevOps, Octopus auto deployment practices to facilitate the development lifecycle.
• Should be able to work on fully agile way and familiarity with Kanban approach
• Effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Previous experience with finance industry specially in commodity trading or BFSI

will be preferred.
