Golang Developer
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Go (Golang) Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of overall software engineering experience, with substantial hands-on experience building production-grade services in Go. This role requires someone who can work independently, make sound architectural decisions, and collaborate
closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, well-tested software. You will play a key role in building and scaling backend services that power our core platform, with ownership spanning design, implementation, testing, deployment, and performance optimization.
Job Description:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Go.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to key technical decisions around system design, scalability, and reliability.
- Build and optimize RESTful/gRPC APIs, ensuring high performance and low latency under production load.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) — schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Integrate services with message queues/event streaming systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS) where applicable.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Debug and resolve production issues, including performance bottlenecks, concurrency issues, and memory leaks.
- Collaborate with DevOps to containerize services (Docker) and deploy on orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and upholding engineering standards.
- Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and help improve build, test, and deployment automation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay current with Go ecosystem developments and evaluate new tools/libraries for potential adoption.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed, including root cause analysis and postmortems.
