Role Description

The Software QA Engineer role at Junkies Coder is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Software QA Engineer will design, execute, and document test plans and test cases for mobile, web, and backend applications, ensuring software quality across multiple projects. Daily responsibilities include performing manual testing, identifying and reporting defects, validating fixes, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and designers to maintain high-quality releases. The role also involves creating and improving QA processes, contributing to test documentation, participating in reviews, and supporting regression, performance, and security testing efforts as needed. The Software QA Engineer will work within an agile environment, helping to refine requirements, estimate testing efforts, and continuously improve product reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Quality, Software Quality Assurance, and Quality Assurance to ensure reliable, high-performing products.
• Candidates should possess solid Manual/Automation Testing skills, including test case design, execution, defect reporting, and regression testing
• Should have the knowledge of API, Web,Mobile App and security Testing.
• Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Software Development concepts to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Relevant experience with mobile and web application testing, including cross-browser and cross-device testing, is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and version control (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Git) is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic automation concepts or exposure to automation frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document findings clearly and concisely.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
