We are seeking a Senior AI Application Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent, LLM-powered applications and custom agentic systems that transform complex engineering operations. In this role, you will work at the intersection of applied AI, developer platforms, and hardware system integration—identifying critical workflow gaps, evaluating high-performance enterprise AI architectures, and translating rapid prototypes into robust, production-ready tools with high-quality user experiences.

You will play a pivotal role in driving AI adoption across cross-functional hardware and sensing engineering streams (including IMUs, pressure sensors, and signal processing pipelines), helping scale intelligent platforms from feasibility studies to bare-metal deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Deploy Intelligent Systems: Design, build, and scale production-ready applications powered by LLMs, custom machine learning models, and agentic workflows.
  • Streamline Enterprise Workflows: Identify automation gaps across complex engineering design processes, evaluating existing enterprise platforms and architecting bespoke solutions where existing systems fall short.
  • Bridge AI Research to Production: Translate state-of-the-art generative AI and multi-agent research into modular, scalable, and intuitive software tools.
  • Rapid Prototyping to Full Rollout: Take novel AI capabilities from initial feasibility and proof-of-concept (PoC) phases all the way to enterprise-grade, high-availability deployments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware design, sensing systems, and system integration engineering teams to drive data-informed decision-making in high-ambiguity environments.

Technical Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
  • Generative AI & LLM Expertise: Deep conceptual and practical understanding of modern Generative AI architectures, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and LLM integrations.
  • Core Development Stack: Strong proficiency in Python alongside software engineering best practices (modular design, object-oriented paradigms, CI/CD, and robust testing).
  • Leadership Under Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to drive architectural decisions, navigate unstructured problem spaces, and lead cross-functional initiatives independently.

Preferred Qualifications ("Nice to Haves")

  • AI/ML Track Record: 2+ years of direct hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered enterprise applications or agentic systems (Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn).
  • Domain & Sensing Background: Exposure to sensing systems (IMUs, magnetic sensors, pressure sensors), signal processing, sensor fusion, or hardware/software co-design.
  • Cloud & Platform Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern API microservices.
  • UI/UX Development: Experience constructing intuitive web or native UI interfaces for internal developer platforms or complex data workflows.
  • Advanced Degree: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
