About the Role
We are hiring experienced Product Managers to take ownership of critical, high-impact parts of our product ecosystem. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role. You'll own a meaningful product surface end-to-end, partner closely with senior business and technology leadership, and have real influence over priorities and direction — well beyond what's typical for a PM role at this level. You'll also be expected to bring a genuinely AI-native lens to your area, finding opportunities for automation and efficiency that haven't been explored before.
This role suits a product leader who is energized by ownership and complexity, builds trust quickly with senior stakeholders, and combines strong technical fluency with sharp business judgment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ownership & Prioritization
- Own a defined product area end-to-end, translating business priorities into a clear, well-sequenced roadmap.
- Exercise independent, day-to-day judgment on what matters most, in partnership with senior leadership.
- Convert competing, ambiguous requirements from multiple stakeholders into a coherent, defensible plan.
2. Technical Depth
- Build genuine, hands-on command of the underlying systems and architecture relevant to your area — not just requirements-gathering.
- Understand technical risk, trade-offs, and true cost before committing to a plan.
- Partner closely with engineering to balance system integrity with speed.
3. AI-Driven Thinking
- Bring a first-principles, AI-native lens to your product area.
- Proactively identify where automation, AI, and modern tooling can unlock efficiency, quality, or new capability.
- Champion new approaches independently, without waiting for a formal mandate.
4. Stakeholder Influence & Negotiation
- Operate as a sharp, credible partner to stakeholders across Engineering, Business, Sales, and senior Leadership.
- Negotiate effectively with engineering teams on scope, timelines, and trade-offs, and with fellow Product Managers on cross-team dependencies and sequencing.
- Influence at the leadership level, including when delivering difficult or unpopular decisions, without relying solely on formal authority.
- Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and rationale in a way that earns confidence quickly across technical and business audiences alike.
5. Execution Rigor & Accountability
- Drive scope, goals, and KPIs forward with real urgency — comfortable pushing timelines and outcomes rather than simply tracking them.
- Hold engineering, cross-functional partners, and other stakeholders accountable to commitments, directly and without avoidance.
- Hold yourself to the same standard — own misses transparently and course-correct quickly.
- Show grit in the face of resistance, ambiguity, or slow-moving dependencies, maintaining momentum rather than letting initiatives stall.
6. Sustained, Independent Ownership
- Perform consistently in a complex, matrixed environment with many stakeholders.
- Maintain strong energy and standards across both high-visibility and less glamorous phases of work.
- Build effective working relationships across a wide range of engineering and business collaborators.
Required Experience & Skills
- 8+ years in Product Management, with substantial experience owning complex, technically deep, or high-scale product areas.
- Bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 engineering institution; MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 business school preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to go deep technically — genuinely comfortable partnering with engineering on architecture and trade-offs.
- Proven track record of prioritization and decision-making under real, competing pressure, with specific examples.
- Strong, demonstrable fluency in applying AI/automation to solve business problems independently.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills — with engineers, cross-functional peers, other Product Managers, and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated grit and execution rigor: a track record of driving scope, goals, and KPIs forward, and holding self and others accountable to commitments.
- Track record of sustained, high-quality delivery in complex or ambiguous environments.
- Open to strong candidates from outside the travel industry; travel, B2B travel, travel marketplaces, booking platforms, distribution, or hospitality experience is a plus, not a requirement.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Is energized by scope and ownership, and comfortable being relied on for judgment calls.
- Treats complex, technically deep systems as a craft to master.
- Brings AI-native thinking as a default instinct, not an occasional initiative.
- Is diplomatic and sharp at once — able to build trust with senior stakeholders while holding a clear point of view.
- Has real grit — pushes through resistance, ambiguity, and slow dependencies rather than waiting for conditions to improve.
- Is a strong executioner who drives outcomes forward and holds others accountable comfortably and directly.
- Has the temperament and consistency to perform at a high level over the long run.
Success in This Role
Success will be measured by the ability to: Become a trusted product decision-maker in your area → Elevate quality and technical health of your systems → Introduce AI-led efficiencies not previously explored → Drive scope, goals, and KPIs forward with visible urgency → Maintain strong prioritization discipline amid competing demands → Sustain this level of performance over time.
Preferred Industry: Travel / Travel Technology / Hospitality / OTA / B2B Marketplace (open to other industries)
Education: Bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 engineering institution required; MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 B-School preferred. plus.
