Principal Software Engineer (Vue.js, TypeScript) | 7+ Years | Onsite | Hyderabad

Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to modernize existing web applications using Vue 3, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies.

This hands-on role focuses on building responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces within existing Vue and PHP applications. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end engineering and architecture skills, solid PHP experience, and a background in SaaS applications.

For the ATS assignment, experience modernizing legacy jQuery applications into Vue components is mandatory. Experience with AI-assisted development tools is also important for improving engineering productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Modernize existing web applications using Vue 3 and modern front-end technologies.
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces.
• Improve component architecture, CSS architecture, state management, and front-end performance.
• Modernize legacy jQuery pages into Vue components for the ATS assignment.
• Integrate front-end applications with backend services using RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with product and UX teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of web application development experience.
• 7+ years of Vue 3 experience.
• 3+ years of PHP experience, working with PHP as the backend technology.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS architecture skills.
• Strong front-end engineering, component-driven development, and modern front-end architecture expertise.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, state management, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Experience working in SaaS environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• ATS-specific: Strong jQuery skills and experience modernizing legacy jQuery applications into Vue components.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Azure Cloud experience.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
• Experience with front-end performance profiling and optimization tools.
