About Sasken Silicon
Sasken Silicon is India’s most advanced wireless, radio, analog and System-on-Chip (SoC) design company. We design the silicon at the heart of connected products, including radio transceivers, power management, mixed-signal front ends and complete SoCs, and we deliver it both as licensable IP and as end-to-end chip design programs. More than 50 Fortune 500 companies have trusted Sasken with work that has to be right the first time, because in silicon a missed specification is measured in months of schedule and millions in cost.
Our leadership is global. The company is led from Silicon Valley (Saratoga, California) by semiconductor leaders whose patented RF innovations and experience at top-tier global semiconductor companies shape how we design, while our engineering teams in India work shoulder to shoulder with customers across the United States, Europe and Asia. That combination gives our people something rare in the Indian semiconductor ecosystem: direct, daily exposure to world-class customers and to the decisions that define a chip, rather than a narrow slice of someone else’s program.

What we design
- Wireless and RF: full-chip wireless IP including Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), LTE, Bluetooth and Zigbee, along with RF transceivers, low-noise amplifiers and frequency synthesis.
- Analog and mixed-signal: power management units, filters, precision analog front ends and the interfaces that connect them to the digital world.
- System-on-Chip: architecture and RTL through verification, synthesis, physical design and sign-off.
- IP licensing and customization: licensable silicon IP, together with the customization and integration work that adapts it to each customer’s product.About Silicon Core
Silicon Core is the heart of Sasken Silicon’s chip business. The division licenses Sasken’s silicon IP and delivers chip design consulting to global customers on both fixed-deliverable and time-and-material terms. In Silicon Core, IP licensing and the customization work around it move hand in hand: a license is rarely the end of a conversation, and is far more often the beginning of a design program that has to land on a customer’s schedule.
Silicon Core programs therefore combine deep technical work with real commercial commitments. Each one carries milestones that customers plan their own products around, and the division’s reputation rests on hitting them. As Silicon Core grows, it needs a program manager who can hold that whole picture together.
The Role
We are hiring a Program Manager to own the execution of Silicon Core’s customer programs from Ahmedabad. This is a foundational role: you will be the first dedicated program manager in the division, and you will shape how Silicon Core plans, tracks and delivers its work as it scales. You will run several fast-moving programs at once, ranging from IP customization and licensing deliveries to multi-month chip design engagements, and you will be the person who makes sure that engineering teams, customers and leadership are working from the same plan, the same risks and the same deadline.
The role suits someone who is energized rather than unsettled by change. Customer priorities shift, scope evolves, and a program that was on track on Monday can need a new plan by Wednesday. We are looking for a program manager who can absorb that change, re-plan quickly, keep the team motivated and still deliver on the date that was promised.
Key Responsibilities
Program ownership and delivery
- Own end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent Silicon Core programs, from kickoff through final delivery and customer acceptance.
- Build and maintain integrated program plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources and deliverables, and keep them current as conditions change.
- Translate statements of work and contractual milestones into executable plans, and track delivery against both fixed-deliverable and time-and-material commitments.
- Identify risks and issues early, drive mitigation, and escalate with clear options rather than surprises.
- Manage scope changes with discipline, assessing their impact on schedule, effort and cost before routing them for approval.Customer and stakeholder management
- Act as a primary day-to-day point of contact on program execution for global customers, many of them Fortune 500 companies in the United States and Europe.
- Run customer status meetings, milestone reviews and escalation calls during US business hours, communicating progress with precision in writing and in speech.
- Prepare clear, executive-ready status reports, dashboards and presentations for customers and for Sasken leadership.
- Work closely with engineering leadership, business development and the commercial team so that delivery, contracts and invoicing milestones stay aligned.Team leadership and execution culture
- Lead and motivate cross-functional engineering teams spanning analog, RF, digital design, verification, physical design and firmware, often without relying on formal authority alone.
- Set a fast, accountable delivery rhythm, and drive hard deadlines through to completion while keeping the team engaged and focused.
- Remove blockers, resolve resource conflicts across programs, and make tradeoff calls quickly when priorities collide.Process, tools and AI-enabled productivity
- Apply Agile and structured project management practices in a way that fits semiconductor programs, combining sprint-level execution with fixed milestone, design review and delivery gates.
- Establish lightweight, repeatable program management practices for Silicon Core, including planning templates, status cadences, risk logs and reporting standards.
- Use Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook) at an advanced level to plan, track and report.
- Actively use AI productivity tools to accelerate planning, documentation, meeting follow-up and reporting, and help the wider team do the same. What You Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in any technical discipline (engineering, science or technology).
- 8+ years of professional experience in a technical field, with a proven record of leading projects, programs or teams within it.
- An electronics background, through education or work experience (for example semiconductors, embedded systems, telecom, electronics manufacturing or hardware product development), sufficient to follow engineering discussions and ask the right questions.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and core project management practice, including planning, scheduling, risk, scope and change management.
- A proven track record of motivating teams and delivering against hard, non-negotiable deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage several highly dynamic programs at the same time without losing control of the detail.
- Exceptional English fluency, written and spoken, at a level that holds its own with senior customers in the United States and Europe.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook, along with MS Project or an equivalent scheduling tool.
- Exceptional flexibility and versatility, with genuine comfort in ambiguity, shifting priorities and a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- A strong work ethic and the willingness to work aligned to US time zones on a sustained basis.
- Based in Ahmedabad, or willing to relocate to Ahmedabad.Strongly preferred
- Hands-on proficiency with AI productivity tools (for example ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot), with concrete examples of using them to work faster and better.
- Program or project management experience in semiconductors, VLSI, chip design, EDA or embedded hardware.
- Experience working directly with US or European customers, including regular calls during US hours.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or similar Agile tracking tools.
- A recognized certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP or SAFe.
- Experience in a startup, scale-up or high-growth business unit where processes had to be built rather than inherited.Working Hours and Location
This role is based in Ahmedabad and works on US time. Most of our customers and our division leadership are in the United States, so the Program Manager’s working day is shifted to provide substantial daily overlap with US Pacific business hours, which typically means working into the late evening India time. We are looking for candidates who see this as a deliberate choice that gives them direct, daily access to global customers and leadership, and who can sustain it over the long term.

Send your resume with a short cover note (no more than 300 words) to [insert application email or link].
In the note, describe one program you delivered against a hard deadline: what was at stake, what got in the way, and what you did to land it. We read these notes closely, because they tell us as much about how you communicate as about what you have done.
