Role Description: The Senior Data Engineer role is a full-time, remote opportunity.

This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimising robust data pipelines and data platforms that support advanced analytics and AI use cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining ETL processes, implementing data models and warehousing solutions, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver reliable data assets. The Senior Data Engineer will also contribute to architectural decisions, performance tuning, and the adoption of best practices in data engineering, security, and governance. Mentoring junior team members and participating in code reviews are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including building scalable pipelines and integrating diverse data sources.
• Candidates should possess solid Data Modelling capabilities for designing efficient, reliable, and well-structured data schemas.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools and frameworks to move and transform data at scale.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Data Warehousing concepts and platforms to support reporting, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Candidates should possess practical Data Analytics skills to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred) and SQL is highly beneficial.
• Good understanding of Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake and modern data platforms.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, Java) is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, collaborative mindset, and clear written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems, or a relevant field.
• 2–6 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
