Role Description The Data Engineer will work on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence needs. This contract, remote role involves developing and optimizing ETL processes, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance across systems. The role includes collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to implement data models, support data warehousing solutions, and improve data accessibility. The Data Engineer will also monitor existing data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to best practices and documentation for data architecture and governance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and building scalable data pipelines.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling for structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and data integration.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Data Warehousing design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics and supporting reporting and dashboarding needs.
  • Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
  • Experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., cloud data services, distributed processing frameworks, orchestration tools) is beneficial.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and best practices for handling sensitive information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
