Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Developer to design and develop custom solutions within the SAP ecosystem. The role requires deep technical expertise in ABAP, OOABAP, and modern SAP technologies (CDS, AMDP, Fiori/UI5). You will work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications and high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities

• Development: Develop, code, and test complex ABAP programs (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms - RICEFW).
• Modern ABAP: Utilize modern ABAP syntax (7.4/7.5), CDS Views, AMDP, and RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
• S/4HANA Adaptation: Optimize custom code for S/4HANA (Code Pushdown, ATC checks, HANA optimization).
• OData & Fiori: Develop OData services (SEGW) and backend logic for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Enhancements: Implement user exits, BADIs, BTE, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
• Performance Tuning: Perform SQL trace (ST05), runtime analysis (SE30), and code profiling to optimize performance.
• Integration: Work on IDocs, Proxy, and API integrations between SAP and third-party systems.Mandatory Skills
• Core ABAP: Strong experience in ABAP Objects (OOPS), ALV, SmartForms/Adobe Forms, and Dialog Programming.
• Data Dictionary: Expertise in DDIC objects, Lock Objects, and Search Helps.
• Enhancements: Proven experience with User Exits, Customer Exits, and BADIs.
• Debugging: Advanced debugging skills in both standard and custom code.
• Database: Experience with Open SQL and Native SQL.Preferred Skills (For Senior/Lead Roles)
• S/4HANA: Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming).
• UI5/Fiori: Knowledge of SAPUI5, JavaScript, and Fiori Elements.
• Workflow: Experience with SAP Business Workflow design and troubleshooting.
• Integration: Experience with SAP PI/PO or CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).
• Functional Knowledge: Understanding of at least one core module (SD, MM, FICO, PP).How to differentiate based on experience (5 vs 15 Years)

For the Hiring Manager:

• 5-8 Years (Senior Consultant): Focus on technical execution. They should be able to code/configure independently, debug complex issues, and handle day-to-day support and small enhancements.
• 10-15 Years (Lead/Architect): Focus on design and strategy. They should be able to lead a team, architect complex solutions (e.g., migrating custom code to S/4HANA), handle client-facing discussions, and mentor junior developers/analysts.
