You will own technical governance, risk management, Start of Production (SOP) milestone commitments, and Design Change Request (DCR) estimations. This position is vital to scaling 800 V High-Voltage (HV) power electronics and zonal Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform accounts, acting as the single accountable technical owner across engineering delivery and account demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Technical Ownership: Act as the single accountable technical voice to German OEM-facing customers, ensuring seamless cross-time-zone collaboration between India and Germany teams.
- Program Delivery & Governance: Lead program execution and ensure strict compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity) standards throughout the lifecycle.
- Milestone & Risk Management: Manage technical risks, mitigation strategies, and commit to key Start of Production (SOP) delivery milestones.
- Commercial & Scope Conversion: Drive effort estimations, technical proposals, and DCR conversion in an outsourced engineering service model.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical leadership across power electronics domains, including Onboard Chargers (OBC), DC-DC Converters, Traction Inverters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Power Control Units (PCU).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 10+ years of overall experience in automotive electronics, with at least 4–5 years in program or account leadership within a Tier-1 supplier or engineering service environment.
- Power Electronics Expertise: Strong technical background in power electronics development (Onboard Chargers, DC-DC Converters, Traction Inverters, BMS, Power Control Units).
- Governance Standards: Proven hands-on track record owning ASPICE process compliance, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434 program execution.
- Software & Diagnostics: Working familiarity with AUTOSAR Classic, CAN/CAN FD, and UDS diagnostics.
- V&V Toolchains: Hands-on awareness of verification and validation tools, including CANoe, VectorCAST, and Polarion.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated success in technical estimation, RFQ proposal generation, and DCR scope changes in an outsourced engineering framework.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Proven ability to operate effectively across India and Germany time zones and interface directly with European OEM stakeholders.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to major German OEM platforms (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen) or Ford.
- Deep technical familiarity with 800 V High-Voltage architecture and Silicon Carbide (SiC) / Gallium Nitride (GaN) converter technologies.
- Professional certifications in Vector toolchains or ISO 21434 Cybersecurity.
