ABAP Developer with OData expertise

Job Summary

We are looking for an ABAP Developer with strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP and OData services. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications, APIs, and integrations using ABAP, OData, and S/4HANA technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Design and develop OData services for SAP applications and Fiori applications.
• Work with SAP Gateway and develop/extend OData services.
• Develop CRUD operations and implement business logic in OData services.
• Work with ABAP Objects, classes, interfaces, methods, and exception handling.
• Develop and consume REST/OData APIs for SAP integrations.
• Work with CDS Views and expose CDS-based data through OData where required.
• Develop and troubleshoot RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, and other SAP interfaces.
• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable ABAP solutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot ABAP programs, OData services, and integration issues.
• Perform unit testing, defect fixing, and production support.
• Work closely with functional consultants, integration teams, and Fiori/UI developers.
• Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, and performance best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation for developments and interfaces.Required Technical Skills
• 3–5 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• ABAP / ABAP Objects
• OData Services
• SAP Gateway
• REST APIs
• CDS Views
• Open SQL
• Debugging and performance optimization
• Experience with OData V2 and/or OData V4.
• Knowledge of OData operations such as:
• GET_ENTITY
• GET_ENTITYSET
• CREATE_ENTITY
• UPDATE_ENTITY
• DELETE_ENTITY
• Experience with SEGW (Service Builder).
• Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture.
• Knowledge of BAPI, RFC, IDoc, and integration concepts.
• Understanding of Fiori/UI5 integration with OData is preferred.
