At a glance
Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Module Owner) is a Engineering role at Indian HRM, full-time, based in Bangalore / Remote (India). Indian HRM has a broad and growing product surface. Apply directly in about 2 minutes, no login.
Indian HRM has a broad and growing product surface. We want a senior engineer who picks one product area and owns it end-to-end: backend API, frontend admin, mobile ESS surface, tests, docs, and the success metrics. You will not be writing tickets for other people. You will be writing the product.
What ownership looks like
- You decide what ships. You decide what does not.
- You write the API in NestJS, the admin UI in React, the mobile screens in our PWA, and the E2E tests.
- You publish a monthly health report for your area: usage, errors, latency, NPS from in-app surveys. You decide what to fix and build next based on that report.
- You handle customer escalations on your area. You read the production logs. You pair with the support team. Why this role is good for you
- You will write less than you do today (we are not chasing 10x engineering, we are chasing 10x judgement).
- You will get to make real product calls. The founder reviews the directional decisions, not the line of code.
- ESOP from day 1. Real numbers, real vesting schedule, real strike price. We will explain the maths in the interview. The first 30 days
- Pair with the founder for 5 customer calls. Listen.
- Read the codebase end-to-end. Write a one-page memo on what you would change first.
- Pick your area. Defend the pick. How we build in 2026 and beyond
- You use AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) every day to move faster, and you review their output as critically as you would a junior engineer's pull request. We care that the code is correct and that you understand it, not who typed it.
- A growing share of our roadmap is AI features: resume screening, an HR assistant on WhatsApp, and analytics. You will ship the real thing and learn to evaluate model output, not just call an API.
- You stay current on purpose. The stack you join with is not the stack you will be using in two years, and that is the fun part. Must have
- 5+ years building production web products. At least 2 years at a senior level where you have made architectural calls that you defended in writing.
- You have shipped both backend (Node, Go, Python, or similar) and frontend (React or Vue) code in the same year. You do not pick a side.
- You have owned a product surface end-to-end at a past job (with code receipts and a story to tell).
- You can write a one-page design doc. You will write one before any non-trivial PR.Nice to have
- You have worked at a 10 to 50 person product company.
- You have built or maintained a multi-tenant SaaS.
- You have written a public technical blog post or open-sourced something with real users.Hiring process
- 30-minute screen with the founder.
- Async exercise: pick one product area and write a 2-page memo on what you would change about it.
- 2-hour live system-design session with the engineering lead and one senior frontend engineer.
- One reverse-interview: you get to ask the founder anything for 60 minutes.
- 2 reference calls (we will tell you who in advance).
- Offer. Questions about this role
