Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst with at least 5 years of experience to join our data team. This role bridges the gap between raw data engineering and business strategy, leveraging Python and advanced SQL to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. Working alongside our Data Engineering team, you will analyze on-premises data structures, build analytical models, and design business intelligence dashboards. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in data exploration, statistical analysis, and Python-driven reporting automation.

Key Responsibilities

Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis on complex, on-premises relational databases using Python and SQL to uncover trends, anomalies, and insights.
Data Preparation & Validation: Partner with Data Engineers to validate data pipeline outputs, performing source-to-target reconciliation and schema validations to ensure report accuracy.
Python for Analytics: Develop modular, reusable Python scripts using Pandas, NumPy, and Scipy for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and automated data profiling.
Advanced Querying: Write complex SQL queries, window functions, and Common Table Expressions (CTEs) to extract custom data slices from on-premises data marts and data warehouses.
Dashboarding & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain high-impact dashboards and semantic models in enterprise tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Automation & Scripting: Automate routine analytical workflows, scheduled data extractions, and metric calculations using Python and basic scheduling tools.
Business Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and business analysts to translate complex requirements into quantitative data models and metrics.
Root Cause Analysis: Troubleshoot data discrepancies in reporting layers, performing log and discrepancy analysis to trace data issues back to source tables.Required Skills
Advanced Python: Proven experience using Python as a primary tool for data manipulation and analysis, specifically leveraging libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
Expert SQL: Strong mastery of relational databases, complex joins, subqueries, analytical window functions, and query optimization for reporting performance.
BI & Data Visualization: High proficiency in designing scalable, interactive dashboards and data models in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent enterprise tools.
Analytical Thinking: Solid grasp of statistical analysis concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, data distributions) and data warehousing schemas (Star/Snowflake).
Problem Solving: Ability to audit and reconcile data sets across multiple systems, ensuring a high level of report integrity and data quality.Optional Skills
Database Environments: Experience working with Oracle or SQL Server on-premises architectures is highly advantageous.
Linux/Shell Basics: Basic comfort with Linux/Unix command-line tools for navigating file environments or running scripts.
