Job Description

As a Advanced Software Engr here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the architectural design and development of complex software systems, ensuring they align with business objectives and scalability requirements. Your role will involve providing technical guidance to project teams, driving innovation through prototyping, and exploring new technologies to integrate cutting-edge solutions into our software architectures.

By collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into effective software architectures, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the overall success of Honeywell in the dynamic technology landscape.

Responsibilities

MUST HAVE

  • Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications.
  • Hands-on development experience using Java (Java 8/11/17+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate, and related backend frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in React JS, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI development.
  • Deep understanding of REST API design, development, integration, versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in developing real-time applications using WebSockets and event-driven communication patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of Monolithic and Microservices Architecture, distributed systems, and scalable application design.
  • Experience implementing secure APIs with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, RBAC, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Good understanding of Cybersecurity principles, secure coding practices, OWASP guidelines, vulnerability management, and application security.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services and third-party enterprise systems.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and drive best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • OPC UA and industrial system integration knowledge.
  • Airport domain application exposure.
  • React Native and cross-platform mobile development.
  • Android and iOS mobile application deployment experience.
  • Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, or similar messaging technologies.
  • Cloud platform exposure: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployments.
  • Monitoring, observability, logging, and performance tuning.
  • Event-driven architectures and real-time data processing systems.

Preferred Experience

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience in enterprise digital transformation programs.
  • Collaboration with architects, security teams, product owners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in software architecture and development
  • Mastery level knowledge in design principles, architectural patterns, and coding standards
  • Expert in multiple programming languages and technologies
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and lead indirect reports by influence
