Senior Backend Developer

Role: Lead the architecture and development of Pocketful’s scalable, high-performance fintech platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build and scale robust backend systems capable of handling high transaction volumes and real-time trading workloads.
• Own backend engineering, system design, performance optimisation, reliability and technical execution.
• Lead development using Golang, with strong focus on clean architecture, concurrency and distributed systems.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, scalability and mentoring of backend engineers.
• Explore and adopt emerging technologies, open-source tools and AI-powered engineering workflows.Ideal Candidate
• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with proven experience building and scaling production-grade platforms.
• Extremely hands-on and proficient in Golang, with strong fundamentals in system design, data structures, concurrency and distributed systems.
• Curious, technically driven and passionate about solving complex engineering challenges.
• Strong interest in open-source technologies and contributing to or building on open-source projects.
• AI experience or a genuine interest in applying AI to software development and backend systems is a strong plus.
• Fintech, trading or high-throughput transaction platform experience is preferred.
