Python Developer

Position: Junior Python Developer

Experience: 2-7 years total, proficiency with Python

Role Summary

Aa a contributor to a team building data intensive, AI enabled products that help deal teams analyze financial statements, ledgers, and trial balances to support merger and divestiture advisory, you will develop new and enhance existing aspects for products.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop new and enhance existing aspects for products based on feature definitions and documentation under the guidance of senior team members.

 Write source code that implements stated requirements provided by tickets.

 Develop on-node ETL and validation processes to support reliable analysis,reporting, and downstream product features.

 Write comprehensive tests for source code to prevent regressions and bugs.

 Clearly document new features or changes to existing features of the products.

Required Skills and Experience

 2+ years software development or data engineering experience.

 Proficiency with Python, including environment and dependency management.

 Developing and maintaining webapps and working with relational databases.

 Comprehensive test suites and cases, maintaining test coverage requirements.

 Agile/Scrum methodology and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps), adherence to team conventions for Git, submitting and reviewing merge/pull requests.

Preferred Skills and Experience

 Python web frameworks, especially FastAPI+SQLAlchemy or Django.

 PostgreSQL and its ecosystem of extensions, especially pgvector or TimescaleDB.

 Cloud native application development, especially using Azure.

 Previous professional experience working with financial documents.

 Responsible use of AI assistants to accelerate coding, testing, and

documentation tasks.
