Senior Data Engineer

the Sr. Data analyst is expected to oversee and drive to completion enterprise services programs covering a wide variety of areas including large data analytics & strategy, implementation, and adoption. The Sr. Data analyst will gain an understanding of both First American’s business and technical requirements in order to deliver accurate and on-time data from complex and highly diversified sources, presented in the most effective manner in order to drive business outcomes. The Sr. Data Analyst will also work collaboratively with First American NCS sales and technical teams to lead the design and delivery of proposed solutions to meet customer needs.

  • 4-6 years of experience working with business stakeholders and hands on experience creating, reporting and analysis
  • Strong hands-on in PYTHON, NumPy, Pandas, R programming and / or data manipulation
  • Collect, interpret, munge, move, store, and wrangle data from a wide variety of sources
  • Experience with SQL design & optimizing data solutions for strong performance
  • Advanced skills working with REST/SOAP/JSON and other web technologies
  • Excellent communication skills including but not limited to documentation, presentation
  • Advanced data presentation skills using but not limited to BI tools such as Domo, Tableau and / or PowerBI
  • Advanced Excel skills including but not limited to VBA and Functions
  • Serve as SME / Lead and set strategic direction concerning metrics and fields needed for our self-service environment
  • Experience flexing across a wide variety of data science (analysis to predictive)
  • Development experience with database platforms (Redshift, Cosmos, Aroura or Azure SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with Microservices
  • Deployment and CI (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins)
  • JavaScript, React.js
  • Machine Learning

  • Strong project management skills
  • Preferred - development experience with programming languages
  • Experience with version control (Git, TFS, JIRA, etc.), AGILE and test driven development

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of formal education - Graduate / Post Graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology.

Professional work experience of 4 to 6 years.
