Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

4+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production

• Strong proficiency in Python (or a similar backend language) and backend engineering

fundamentals

• Experience designing and building REST APIs and service-oriented systems
• Solid understanding of system design, API design, and data modeling
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and performance considerations
• Hands-on experience debugging complex production issues
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment workflows
• Ability to work with ambiguous problem statements and drive them to clear technical

execution

• Strong ownership mindset and high engineering judgment
