About the role

GA Digital Web Word Pvt Ltd is hiring 2 Backend Developers for the UIDAI Sandbox platform at the UIDAI Technology Centre, Bengaluru (Band C, TSU | Position codes UIDAI_BTC_0_775 & UIDAI_BTC_0_776).

You will design, develop and maintain the backend services and APIs that power the Sandbox platform - building robust, scalable and secure microservices supporting authentication, eKYC, wallet integration and other critical functions of India's digital identity ecosystem. The role works closely with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver seamless integrations and high system reliability.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
  • Optimise application performance, security and scalability.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, architects and QA teams on end-to-end delivery.
  • Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integration and production troubleshooting.Educational qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Certifications in backend frameworks or cloud technologies (AWS / Azure / CKA) are an added advantage.Experience required
  • 5+ years in backend software development with hands-on expertise in microservices architecture.
  • Experience in digital identity, authentication or secure data processing systems preferred.Primary skills (must have)
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python or Go
  • Apache Kafka - event-driven and streaming architectures
  • Kubernetes and Docker - containerised deployments
  • Cloud platforms - AWS or Azure
  • Strong database management across SQL and NoSQL
  • RESTful API design and developmentSecondary skills (good to have)
  • Security standards, encryption and authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, PKI, TLS)
  • Container orchestration and infrastructure automation (Helm, Terraform, Ansible)
  • CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest)
  • Good communication and teamwork skillsCompensation
  • CTC range: Rs. 8.00 - 17.70 LPA (Band C, TSU), offered within the band based on experience and interview assessment.
  • Statutory and policy benefits as per UIDAI HR policy (PF, gratuity, group mediclaim, leave and TA/DA entitlements).Location: Technology Centre, Bengaluru (on-site). Number of positions: 2.
