About Dream Incubator IndiaDream Incubator India is part of Dream Incubator Inc., a Japan-headquartered strategy consulting, business development, and investment firm.

We help Japanese and global companies solve business challenges and implement growth and transformation initiatives in India.

We are building a new AI Transformation practice that combines strategic consulting with hands-on AI engineering to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The RoleWe are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who can understand real business problems, translate them into technical solutions, and independently build and deploy AI-enabled applications.

You will work directly with client management, business users, and DI consultants to redesign and improve business processes using AI, automation, and software.

This is not a conventional software development role. You will help define what should be built, not simply develop solutions based on predefined specifications.

DIAI is a strategy consulting firm, not an IT services company. You will have access to experienced business consultants, but limited in-house senior engineering mentorship. We therefore seek a technically independent, hands-on engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems and taking ownership of technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client business processes, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Design and build AI agents, LLM-based applications, workflow automation, and full-stack solutions.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and existing enterprise systems.
• Develop rapid prototypes and deploy solutions into production environments.
• Work directly with client users to test, improve, and drive adoption of solutions.
• Ensure appropriate reliability, security, documentation, and maintainability.
• Measure business impact, including productivity, cost, quality, and turnaround-time improvements.
• Support digital and process integration initiatives, including post-merger integration (PMI) projects where relevant.Required Experience & Skills
• Approximately 4–7 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend or full-stack development.
• Practical experience developing LLM applications, AI agents, RAG, or workflow automation.
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, databases, and system integration.
• Experience deploying applications into production environments used by actual business users.
• Ability to independently design technical architecture, troubleshoot problems, and deliver working solutions.
• Ability to understand business requirements and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and execution discipline.Experience in manufacturing, automotive/mobility, supply chain, procurement, finance operations, or enterprise transformation is an advantage.
