Description

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience in US healthcare testing, specializing in FHIR interoperability, API testing, and Playwright automation. The role involves validating healthcare workflows, FHIR-based integrations, and prior authorization solutions, including Da Vinci CRD, DTR, and PAS. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional, API, and automation testing, with the ability to develop and maintain automation frameworks, validate complex healthcare data, and ensure the quality and reliability of healthcare applications. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects, improve test coverage, and support end-to-end quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test cases for US healthcare applications, focusing on FHIR interoperability and healthcare workflows.
Validate FHIR R4 resources, including Patient, Coverage, ServiceRequest, Claim, Claim Response, Questionnaire, Questionnaire Response, Bundle, and Task.
Test and validate Da Vinci prior authorization workflows, including Clinical Decision Support (CRD), Documentation Templates and Rules (DTR), and Prior Authorization Support (PAS).
Validate operations such as Order Select, Order Sign, Questionnaire Package, Claim Submit, and Claim Inquiry.
Perform FHIR profile, conformance, terminology, cardinality, and resource-level validation.
Conduct API testing using Postman, Bruno, Swagger/OpenAPI, and similar tools.
Validate REST APIs, JSON and XML payloads, response codes, error handling, and data consistency.
Test authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
Develop, maintain, and enhance Playwright automation frameworks using JavaScript or TypeScript.
Perform UI, API, regression, functional, and end-to-end automation testing.
Execute cross-browser and parallel testing to ensure application compatibility and reliability.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
Perform SQL-based database testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, estimation, test execution, and release validation.
Prepare test reports, communicate test results, and provide clear updates on quality status, risks, and defects. Requirements : Technical Skills
8+ years of experience in software testing, with strong exposure to the US healthcare domain.
Hands-on experience in FHIR R4 testing and healthcare interoperability.
Strong understanding of FHIR resources, Bundles, references, profiles, extensions, and resource validation.
Practical experience validating healthcare workflows and prior authorization processes.
Knowledge of Da Vinci implementation guides, particularly CRD, DTR, and PAS.
Strong experience in API testing using Postman, Bruno, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and XML validation.
Experience testing authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
Proficiency in SQL and database testing, including data validation and integrity checks.
Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and executing cross-browser and parallel tests.
Good understanding of Agile methodologies, test planning, test execution, and defect lifecycle management.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Good to Have
Knowledge of X12 278 transactions and HIPAA standards.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Experience with performance, load, or stress testing.
Experience working on healthcare interoperability projects involving FHIR-based integrations.
Familiarity with healthcare payer workflows, claims processing, and prior authorization systems.
