Role Description The SDE 3 role at MobiKwik is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power MobiKwik’s payments, credit, and investment products. The SDE 3 will work closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensure high availability and performance, and drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable code, performing code reviews, optimizing system performance, troubleshooting complex issues in production, and mentoring junior engineers. The role also requires active participation in architectural discussions, continuous improvement of development processes, and accountability for delivering high-quality features on schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in building large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).
• Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Experience with at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Python) and related frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems, optimize performance, and ensure security and reliability in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring other engineers, leading technical initiatives, and collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
