Backend Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Ruby on Rails and Python to build scalable systems, APIs, and integrations that power our core product. Responsibilities: - Build and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful APIs. - Implement background jobs using Sidekiq/Delayed Job for async processing. - Use Redis for caching, job queues, and performance optimization. - Design efficient database schemas and write optimized SQL queries. - Architect scalable systems balancing performance and reliability. - Develop secure, versioned APIs. - Write unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines - Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Requirements: - 3-5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails and/or Python. - Strong understanding of MVC architecture. - Experience with Sidekiq/Delayed Job. - Experience with Redis. - Strong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL. - Experience in API design and security. - Understanding of system design and scalability. - Familiarity with Git, Docker, and AWS. Nice to Have: - Experience with microservices or event-driven architecture. - Knowledge of Terraform/CloudFormation. - Experience in startup/product-based companies.
