Position Title: Software Engineer 2 – Android + Backend/Frontend

Role Overview As a Software Engineer 2 (Android + Backend/Frontend), you will own end-toend features spanning mobile clients and supporting web or service layers. Operating in Pune, you will partner closely with Product Managers to translate high-level product requirements into production-ready solutions, maintaining clean architecture, high availability, and seamless client-server integration. Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Feature Delivery: Partner with Product Managers to scope requirements into technical tasks, then design, code, test, and maintain features across Android and supporting web/backend layers.
• Android Client Engineering: Build responsive Android apps using MVVM, WebViews, WebSockets, and Retrofit/OkHttp, while optimizing FCM push notifications and multimodule Gradle build setups.
• Full-Stack/Cross-Functional Support: Contribute to supporting backend services (APIs, AWS deployment) or frontend web dashboards (React, TypeScript, Vercel) based on your secondary track.
• Quality & Performance: Write unit/integration tests, conduct peer code reviews, monitor system performance, resolve technical debt, and mentor junior engineers.
• Release & Observability: Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automated releases, and system observability. Required Qualifications
• Experience: 4+ years of professional engineering experience in Android app development combined with backend or frontend systems.
• Core Android Skills: High proficiency in Java, MVVM architecture, Activities, Fragments, FCM push notifications, networking libraries (Retrofit/OkHttp), and Play Store deployment.
• AI & Hybrid Frameworks: Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and hands-on exposure to hybrid frameworks (React Native, Unity, or Cocos2dx).
• Track-Specific Proficiency: o Backend Track: API design, data modeling, scalable microservices, and cloud deployment (preferably AWS). o Frontend Track: Building high-traffic dashboards using React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and deployment platforms like Vercel. Nice-to-Have Skills
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Multiplatform, or modern UI toolkits.
• Exposure to real-time WebSocket systems, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and large-scale performance optimization.
• Prior experience working in fast-paced, product-driven, cross-functional team environments.
