About The Role
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to design and build scalable, secure backend systems. You’ll work on APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure that power mission-critical applications used by thousands of users.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop scalable APIs using Node.js or Python
- Build, optimize, and maintain database schemas
- Implement security best practices for APIs and data
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor performance and debug production issues
- Collaborate with frontend teams on API contracts
- Contribute to architectural decisions
- Document APIs and system workflows
Required Skills
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Strong experience with Node.js or Python
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
- REST API & GraphQL design
- Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Microservices architecture knowledge
- Docker & Kubernetes experience
- Event-driven systems & message queues
Preferred Skills
- TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Serverless (AWS Lambda, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Monitoring & observability tools
- Testing & TDD practices
- Security & compliance knowledge
