🌟 Role Overview

As an SDE 3 (Frontend — Web) at Porter, you will own large, business-critical web applications used by millions. You will drive frontend architecture, own performance and reliability budgets, shape our design system, and mentor a high-performing engineering team.

🛠️ What You’ll Do

• Architecture & Technical Design: Design scalable frontend architectures for high-traffic, SEO-critical, and SSR/ISR-rendered applications.
• Performance & Security: Own Core Web Vitals, set performance budgets, and fortify our frontend security posture (CSP, safe-by-default rendering, secure token handling).
• Real-Time Logistics Systems: Write clean, production-grade TypeScript/React to build hyper-fast, real-time tracking surfaces using Firebase and WebSockets.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Raise the bar on code quality, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Design, and Backend teams to balance UX with complex logistics constraints.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 4+ years of frontend/web development experience (SDE 3 or equivalent), ideally in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
• Core Tech Stack: Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• System Design & State: Strong grasp of modular architecture, monorepos (Nx), design systems, and advanced React state primitives.
• Web Optimization: Deep understanding of bundle analysis, caching/CDN strategies, complex forms/schema validation (Zod), and mobile webviews.
• Real-Time Data & Security: Experience with WebSockets/Firestore streaming and robust bot/abuse mitigation (reCAPTCHA, rate limiting).
• Observability: Hands-on experience with Sentry, Datadog RUM, and structured analytics.

💡 Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with i18n/multi-region web apps and headless CMS (Strapi).
• Exposure to BFF/edge layers, API gateways, or serverless functions.
