We’re Hiring: Senior Software Engineer — Medical Billing & Claimsompany Description Life Medical Care is a healthcare organization focused on delivering reliable, patient-centered medical services to the community. We’re seeking an experienced engineer to develop a production-ready medical billing platform. Prior experience building medical billing or claims-processing software for North American healthcare is mandatory.
Required expertise:
- Medical billing and coding: Thorough understanding of U.S. billing workflows, CMS-1500, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer-specific requirements.
- Clearinghouses and claim transmission: Hands-on experience integrating clearinghouses and implementing electronic claim submission, 837P transactions, acknowledgments, rejections, corrections, claim-status tracking, and 835 remittance processing.
- Software development: Strong Python and full-stack development skills, including databases, APIs, and JSON, with proven experience deploying and maintaining production software.
- Healthcare compliance: Practical knowledge of HIPAA, patient-data security, and applicable healthcare billing requirements.This is not a general website-development role. Applicants must already understand the complete billing flow—from charge entry and coding through claim submission, adjudication, payment posting, and denial management.
