Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Lead – Cloud, Architecture & Data Migration to lead the architecture, modernization, and migration of complex enterprise applications and data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in handling large-scale systems, migrating legacy applications and databases to modern architectures, designing Azure-based infrastructure, and implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

This role requires a balance of technical leadership, architectural decision-making, hands-on engineering, and team mentoring. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders, architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures for complex enterprise applications, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Legacy Modernization: Lead the assessment, re-engineering, modernization, and migration of legacy applications to modern technology stacks and cloud-native environments.
• Large-Scale Data Migration: Plan and execute complex database and data platform migrations, including data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, performance optimization, and cutover planning.
• Microsoft Azure Infrastructure: Design, configure, and optimize Azure infrastructure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, networking, identity, security, and monitoring services.
• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Cloud & DevOps: Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, environment management, containerization, and infrastructure automation.
• Technical Leadership: Lead engineering teams, conduct code and architecture reviews, establish development standards, and mentor developers.
• Performance & Security: Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks, production issues, scalability challenges, and cloud infrastructure risks.
• Technical Planning: Evaluate technology options, estimate technical effort, identify migration risks, and define implementation roadmaps.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business analysts, product owners, project managers, and clients to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, cloud engineering, or technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system design, distributed systems, and large-scale application development.
• Proven experience in legacy application modernization and migration to modern platforms or cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services, including networking, compute, storage, databases, security, and monitoring.
• Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including reusable modules, state management, and environment provisioning.
• Experience executing database and data migrations involving SQL Server, Azure SQL, or other enterprise database platforms.
• Proficiency in at least one major development ecosystem, such as .NET/C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, integration patterns, authentication, and enterprise security.
• Experience with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and make sound architectural decisions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and team leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other data integration and analytics services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and cloud observability tools.
• Familiarity with zero-downtime migrations, phased migration strategies, rollback planning, and disaster recovery.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, data engineering, enterprise BI, or AI-enabled applications.
• Experience working with international clients and distributed engineering teams.
