We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to design, lead, and deliver custom agentic workflows and production-ready enterprise AI solutions for a leading insurance client. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge Google Cloud AI capabilities, BigQuery data infrastructure, and Apigee AI Gateway, while leading a squad of FDEs to deploy scalable, secure insurance agents into client environments.

• Delivery Leadership: Lead a squad of FDEs through sprint delivery, code reviews, and hands-on implementation, partnering directly with client engineering leads to remove technical roadblocks and hit production milestones.
• Multi-Agent Systems Design: Design and deploy multi-agent workflows using Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Vertex AI Agent Engine, ensuring reliable agent coordination, peer consensus, and automated self-correction.
• System Safeguards & Kill Switches: Implement multi-tier operational controls, including Cloud Functions step counters, GCP spend quotas, and Model Armor semantic safety filters to prevent data leakage and runaway operations.
• API Gateway & Telephony Integration: Establish enterprise API patterns using Apigee AI Gateway to secure, throttle, and govern tool calls across core microservices and customer communication channels like Karix telephony.
• Zero-Trust Security & Data Provenance: Implement zero-trust security standards (mTLS, Workload Identity, Maker≠Checker approvals) and apply cryptographic signatures for tamper-proof data origin tracking and auditability.
• Observability, Privacy & Compliance: Set up grounded RAG with Cloud DLP redaction, achieve Observability Gate G9 readiness through OpenTelemetry tracing into BigQuery audit sinks, and ensure regulatory frameworks (IRDAI claims rules, DPDP data residency, HIPAA, TCPA/DNC) are coded directly into software logic.What You'll Bring to the Table:
• 8+ years of professional software development experience in Python or Go, with production expertise in asynchronous programming, microservices, and system architecture.
• 3+ years of experience designing AI agent architecture, LLM applications, and leading client-facing technical delivery squads natively on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven track record of architecting and launching production-grade AI/ML applications, multi-agent systems, or LLM workflows from concept through post-go-live support.
• Deep familiarity with BigQuery, Vertex AI Agent Engine, Vector Search, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
• Proven ability to manage technical stakeholders, resolve architectural disagreements, and deliver projects on schedule.Bonus Points:
• Experience implementing Apigee AI Gateway for securing, routing, and managing enterprise API traffic and LLM endpoints.
• Experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks (e.g., ADK) and patterns (e.g., ReAct, self-reflection, hierarchical delegation, Byzantine fault tolerance).
• Knowledge of LLM-native metrics (e.g., tokens/sec, cost-per-request) and techniques for optimizing state management and granular tracing.
• Google Cloud Certified (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
• Domain background in insurance policy lifecycle, claims triage, or regulated financial services.
