SAP TM Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA TM Consultant to design, configure, and deploy comprehensive transportation management solutions. This role is highly integrated, requiring deep expertise in connecting SAP TM with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Inventory Management (IM), and external environments including Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end logistics solutions spanning transport planning, warehouse execution, and external carrier networks.
• Set up Freight Units, Freight Orders, planning profiles, carrier selection logic, charge management, and freight settlement.
• Configure direct integration between TM and EWM/IM for synchronized loading, Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs), and warehouse staging.
• Design and maintain robust interfaces (EDI, ALE/IDoc, API) connecting S/4HANA to external OTM and 3PL execution systems.
• Map seamless data pipelines for delivery creation, goods issue, tracking events, and cross-docking workflows.
• Lead end-to-end integration testing across internal SAP modules and external vendor platforms, as well as provide post-go-live hypercare support.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (embedded or standalone).
• Deep technical and functional understanding of SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and MM-IM (Inventory Management) touchpoints.
• Proven track record of managing integrations with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or multi-carrier 3PL platforms.
• Strong proficiency in CPI (Cloud Integration), IDocs, Web Services, APIs, and EDI transaction sets (e.g., 204, 214, 856).
• Solid understanding of inbound/outbound logistics processes, multi-mode shipping, and freight cost distribution logic.
