The RoleYou'll design, build, test, and support features across backend services, APIs, databases, and user-facing UI. You'll work with the team through the full development lifecycle, from requirements to production support.

Responsibilities• Develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines

  • Build clean, responsive front-end interfaces
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and contribute to database schema design
  • Contribute to system design discussions for new features, including scalability, security, and reliability
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and ethical standards in cloud environments
  • Take assigned work through all phases: requirements, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance
  • Provide support and troubleshoot production issues
  • Write unit and integration tests and fix defects promptly
  • Review teammates' code and designs, and act on feedback on your own
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning and backlog grooming, estimate tasks, and flag blockers early
  • Document all work using required standards, methods, and tools
  • Recommend and implement improvements to development processes and tools
  • Integrate AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT) into development workflows to improve productivity, and validate AI-generated output before it ships

Required Qualifications• Engineering background (Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field) with 7+ years of professional software development experience

  • Strong proficiency in at least one of: Node.js/TypeScript, Java, or .NET (C#)
  • Solid SQL skills: querying, schema design, and indexing
  • Working knowledge of system design (APIs, data modeling, scalability, security)
  • Experience with industry-standard software design methodologies for development and documentation (for example, SOLID principles)
  • Hands-on front-end experience and good UI design sense
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including testing, CI/CD, and production support
  • Experience with SCM and issue-tracking tools such as Git, Artifactory, and Jira
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or Claude) in real project work
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • A desire to solve sophisticated software and system issues
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including timely responses and reliable follow-through

Preferred Qualifications• Node.js/TypeScript + React (Next.js a plus)

  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL, on any engine (for example SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
  • Working knowledge of AI models and large language models (LLMs): how they work at a high level, prompt design, and integrating LLM APIs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Azure OpenAI) into applications, with awareness of their limitations (accuracy, data privacy, and cost)
  • Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing, such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus/Queue Storage
  • Experience with data integrations, ETL, or systems that connect to third-party databases
  • Familiarity with API authentication and signing (HMAC, JWT/OAuth) and secure handling of sensitive data
  • Exposure to cloud deployment (Vercel, AWS, or Azure)
  • Interest in digital identity, verifiable credentials, or blockchain-based systems
