Purpose - Why does this role exist?

Maximising Sales Revenue by capitalizing market opportunities and standardizing sales policies

Additional: Pricing analytics and dashboard development.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

  • End to end responsibility of Revenue management (Pricing and discounts) for Long products (Including Alloy Steel)
  • Pricing analytics and dashboard development under guidance of Pricing head
  • Analyse the opportunities for increasing the incremental changes related to grades, sizes and markets based on competition and market dynamics.
  • Analyse the cost of products/ grades (based on input from plants) and accordingly propose the incremental changes.
  • Analyse the domestic & international price trends and accordingly propose the monthly pricing for all products. Responsible for preparing and proposing any deviation of price during the month for approval from the authorized person.
  • Monitor and analyze all contractual & project prices.

  • Internal co-ordination with branches, regions and work-locations
  • Monitoring Competition activities in terms of capacity, production, sales, price including expansions and product developments

Decision making authority (Decisions expected)

  • Research analysis
  • Pricing recommendation

Educational Background and Work Experience

  • Engineer – MBA / ICWA
  • Min 10-14 years of experience
  • Experience in Marketing and Commercial

Competencies

  • Analytical skill
  • Presentation skill

Key Success Factors – Challenges

  • Must keep oneself abreast on market and economic environment
  • Must be updated with Government policy/ proposed changes and possible impact
