Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and enhancement of software solutions in collaboration with product owners and engineering teams.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable software solutions ensuring an exceptional user experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilising feedback loops such as code reviews and state-of-the-art code quality and productivity tools.
  • Ensure comprehensive automated unit and integration testing accompanies all application code.
  • Lead efforts to improve the efficiency of the software development lifecycle, sharing innovative ideas and best practices.
  • Maintain high code quality by actively addressing and managing technical debt and defects.
  • Serve as a key communicator and liaison between teams to facilitate seamless progress on shared goals.
  • Foster a culture of proactive learning within the team, promoting both functional and technical knowledge advancements

Required Job Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to self-development and continuous learning, evidenced by academic achievements or industry contributions.
  • Extensive experience with the following technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, Selectors, Sagas, React Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, Selenium, Java, API automation.
  • Proven track record in building and optimizing responsive web applications interfacing with backend service APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working with AI tooling such as Github Copilot or Cursor AI

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with preference for advanced studies.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in web application development, demonstrating progressive growth and responsibility.
