Software Engineer

The Role

• Design and build the foundational data warehouse, transformation layers, and semantic model from the ground up.
• Develop extraction pipelines to move data from production databases into an analytical warehouse.
• Build and extend a shared data model using dbt, defining reusable metrics for consistency across all products.
• Implement data quality checks, freshness monitoring, and alerting for pipelines.
• Ensure tenant isolation and access control patterns are applied to all data models and pipelines.
• Maintain data lineage, tracing metrics back to their source records and raw captures.

What You'll Need

• 2–5 years of experience building and running production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and CTEs, with an understanding of dimensional modeling.
• Hands-on experience building tested models in dbt or equivalent transformation tools.
• Proficiency in writing production-ready Python code for data pipelines.
• Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or similar.
• Familiarity with loading data from operational databases into data warehouses or lakehouses.
• Production experience with major cloud platforms (Azure or similar), including object storage, Git, CI/CD, and containerization.
• A strong data quality mindset with a commitment to ensuring data accuracy.
