Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams within a Finance technology portfolio, particularly Investment and Credit Risk.

The candidate will facilitate SAFe ceremonies, coach teams on Agile practices, manage backlogs and dependencies, remove impediments, coordinate PI Planning, and improve delivery predictability. Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and multi-functional IT delivery teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Apply SAFe principles and support PI Planning, PI Objectives, and Agile Release Train (ART) events.
  • Coach teams on Agile practices, self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with Product Owners to maintain prioritized backlogs, clear user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and resolve impediments, manage cross-team dependencies, and escalate delivery risks.
  • Track delivery progress using velocity, predictability, cycle time, work in progress, and defect metrics.
  • Coordinate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners, developers, BAs, QA teams, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate risk identification and mitigation using SAFe ROAM practices.
  • Maintain Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, built-in quality, and sustainable delivery practices.
  • Manage delivery dashboards, sprint boards, risks, dependencies, and decisions in Azure DevOps.
  • Support Inspect and Adapt workshops and ensure improvement actions are completed.
  • Manage project activities across the SDLC, from initiation and assessment through delivery and closure.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in IT project management and/or Scrum Master roles across the full SDLC.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlogs, sprint boards, dashboards, and delivery metrics.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile methodologies, and SAFe practices.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams comprising developers, Business Analysts, QA, and product stakeholders.
  • Experience managing delivery from project initiation and assessment through closure.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, risk management, and impediment resolution skills.
  • Ability to track delivery predictability, dependencies, quality, and continuous improvement actions.

Preferred Skills

  • PMP certification.
  • Scrum Master certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent.
  • SAFe certification or extensive practical SAFe delivery experience.
  • Experience in Finance technology, Investment, or Credit Risk portfolios.
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams within an Agile Release Train.
