Solution Lead (Full Stack - Python & JavaScript)

About the Role

DataActions is looking for an experienced, hands-on Solution Lead (Full Stack) to drive architecture, new feature delivery, defect resolution, and reporting across our core enterprise applications.

In this role, you will operate as a true player-coach. You will partner directly with our US Solution Leader on technical strategy while staying actively involved in code, architectural decisions, and production troubleshooting. You will also lead day-to-day engineering execution, elevating the technical standards of our development team through regular code reviews, mentorship, and sound engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Architect, code, test, and deploy critical features and complex defect fixes across multiple enterprise-grade applications.
• Agentic AI & Workflow Modernization: Champion and implement agentic development practices across the team—integrating AI coding agents, autonomous debugging/testing workflows, and automated scaffolding to accelerate cycle times while enforcing rigorous software quality and code integrity.
• Strategic Collaboration & Delivery: Serve as the direct counterpart and backup to the US Solution Leader, stepping in to align priorities, drive delivery roadmaps, and make architectural decisions.
• Team Mentorship & Engineering Standards: Lead by example as a player-coach. Conduct thorough code reviews, establish coding best practices, and mentor engineers to level up overall team capability.
• Application Lifecycle & Reporting: Take end-to-end ownership of application health, maintenance, performance tuning, and operational/business reporting pipelines.
• Infrastructure & Production Support: Diagnose, isolate, and resolve issues across Linux and Apache runtime environments to ensure high availability and optimal throughput.Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical lead or solution lead capacity.
• Database Mastery: Deep expertise in relational database design, query optimization, indexing, and complex data modeling using MariaDB or MySQL.
• Backend Expertise: Proven production experience writing clean, scalable, maintainable services and scripts in Python.
• Frontend Proficiency: Solid command of core JavaScript, DOM manipulation, AJAX, and modern asynchronous programming patterns.
• System Operations: Practical hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting applications in Linux and Apache (HTTP Server) environments.
• Engineering Leadership: Demonstrated track record of breaking down ambiguous business requirements into robust solution designs, setting sprint deliverables, and mentoring junior/mid-level developers.
• Modern Developer Tooling: Practical experience adopting AI-assisted workflows (e.g., LLM agents, automated code generation/review tooling) to optimize team velocity and code reliability.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort collaborating across time zones (specifically with US-based stakeholders).Nice-to-Have
• Experience designing custom agentic workflows, prompt chaining, or AI-integrated internal developer tooling.
• Experience designing and managing enterprise reporting workflows or data extract pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), or cloud infrastructure.
• Background working in distributed, cross-border engineering teams.
