Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher – AI & IoT will engage in full-time, on-site research at GAOTek’s Bhopal location, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence with Internet of Things technologies. In this role, the researcher will design and execute experiments, develop algorithms, and analyze data to advance smart sensing, monitoring, and automation solutions aligned with GAOTek’s product lines. Daily tasks include conducting laboratory work, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and product teams, preparing technical reports and publications, and contributing to prototype development and validation. The position also involves mentoring junior researchers or interns, presenting findings in internal meetings or conferences, and staying current with emerging AI and IoT research to inform ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Strong research background with demonstrated experience in AI, IoT, and related fields, including the ability to design studies and interpret results.
- Laboratory skills applicable to experimental setups for sensors, embedded systems, or electronics relevant to AI and IoT applications.
- Solid foundation in Physics or related physical sciences to support modeling, simulation, and understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical methods, data processing, and working with large datasets generated from IoT devices.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or guiding students and junior team members in research methods or technical topics.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a closely related discipline with a focus on AI, IoT, or smart systems.
- Working knowledge of programming languages and tools commonly used in AI and IoT (e.g., Python, MATLAB, embedded C/C++, machine learning frameworks).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing publications, reports, and presenting research outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects, and work on-site in Bhopal on a full-time basis.
- Prior experience with industrial research, product-oriented R&D, or collaboration with industry partners is an asset.
