Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in real-time, low-latency data engineering and microservices development. The candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and GCP.

The role involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend services and real-time data processing solutions while following modern software engineering, DevOps and Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable and resilient RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Build and maintain real-time, low-latency data processing solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka producers, consumers and messaging patterns.
• Develop containerized microservices using Docker.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, Helm and Kubernetes configuration files.
• Work with API Gateway technologies for API routing, security, authentication and traffic management.
• Develop cloud-native applications and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement unit and integration testing using JUnit and follow TDD/BDD practices.
• Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices.
• Work with tools such as Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot application, performance and production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and reviews.
• Track development activities and defects using tools such as Jira and Confluence.Mandatory Skills:
