Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in WordPress development, HubSpot integration, and server administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising WordPress websites, integrating them with HubSpot, and managing the hosting infrastructure that keeps them running smoothly.

This is a hybrid role comprising approximately 50% development and 50% server and website administration. The candidate will be the go-to technical resource for website development, hosting-related issues, and troubleshooting problems such as 403 Forbidden errors, database connection failures, and broken redirects.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing new features while being equally comfortable working with cPanel, phpMyAdmin, server logs, and hosting environments.

1. WordPress Development

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, including custom themes, child themes, and plugins.
  • Build responsive front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, and implement back-end functionality using PHP.
  • Work with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg, including customisation and extending their functionality.
  • Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot WordPress themes and plugins, resolving conflicts and compatibility issues.
  • Optimise website performance, Core Web Vitals, and on-page SEO through caching, image optimisation, CDN integration, and code minification.
  • Migrate websites across hosting providers, domains, and environments, including staging-to-production deployments, while minimising downtime and preventing data loss.2. HubSpot Development and Integration
  • Integrate WordPress websites with HubSpot, including forms, tracking codes, chat, CRM synchronisation, and the HubSpot WordPress plugin.
  • Build and customise HubSpot CMS pages, landing pages, email templates, and modules using HubL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Integrate HubSpot with third-party applications and services using APIs, webhooks, and workflows.
  • Configure and troubleshoot lead capture, form submissions, contact properties, CRM data synchronisation, and marketing automation.
  • Ensure reliable data flow between website forms, HubSpot contacts, and connected marketing systems.3. Server and System Administration
  • Manage hosting accounts through cPanel and WHM, including domains, subdomains, DNS records, email accounts, FTP access, and SSL certificates.
  • Schedule, execute, verify, and restore full website and database backups to ensure business continuity.
  • Diagnose and resolve HTTP errors, including 403 Forbidden, 404 Not Found, and 500 Internal Server Error, by investigating file permissions, .htaccess rules, ModSecurity, file ownership, and server logs.
  • Manage MySQL databases using phpMyAdmin, including importing and exporting databases, repairing tables, running queries, and updating website URLs after migrations.
  • Troubleshoot database connection failures, redirect loops, incorrect WordPress site and home URLs, and HTTP-to-HTTPS redirection issues.
  • Configure and maintain .htaccess, PHP versions and settings (php.ini), cron jobs, and file permissions.
  • Monitor website uptime, server logs, resource utilisation, and hosting alerts, proactively addressing issues before they cause service disruptions.4. Security, Maintenance, and Technical Support
  • Implement WordPress and server security best practices, including firewall configuration, malware scanning and cleanup, login protection, and least-privilege access.
  • Perform regular updates to WordPress core, themes, plugins, and server components, ensuring compatibility and maintaining tested rollback procedures.
  • Maintain documentation for server configurations, credential management procedures, backup and recovery processes, and recurring technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to marketing and internal teams, explaining technical issues, root causes, and resolutions clearly.
