Software Specialist

Company Description PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup that brings transparency and traceability to India’s milk supply chain. Each PYAAS milk pack carries a QR code that reveals its full record, including farm details, batch composition, quality tests, and handling timelines. The company works directly with family farms in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, onboarding farmers only after thorough on-site evaluation and milk testing, and connects them with daily city buyers at fair, quality-based prices. PYAAS currently offers single-farm and family-farms milk for homes in Lucknow, small-batch Bilona cow ghee shipped across India, and acts as Parag’s appointed digital storefront for select localities. All operations run through the PYAAS app and the PYAAS Digital Agent Network (P-DAN), enabling local milk vendors and shop owners to serve their neighborhoods on a unified digital platform.

Role Description The Software Specialist will work full time in a hybrid arrangement, primarily based in Noida with flexibility for some work-from-home. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support the PYAAS app, internal tools, and platform services used by customers, farmers, and digital agents. Day-to-day tasks include coding and implementing new features, managing integrations with databases and third-party services, and ensuring application performance and reliability. The Software Specialist will collaborate with product, operations, and quality teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, troubleshoot issues, and deploy timely updates. The role also includes writing and maintaining technical documentation, contributing to testing and quality assurance processes, and supporting continuous improvement of the overall technology stack.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Development and Software Design for scalable, maintainable applications.
• Candidates should possess solid Programming skills in relevant languages and frameworks (such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar).
• Candidates should possess experience working with Databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.
• Candidates should possess Testing skills, including unit, integration, and regression testing, and familiarity with QA best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of mobile and web application architectures; experience with cloud platforms or DevOps tools is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and document technical work in a structured manner.
• Comfort working in a startup environment, with a focus on problem-solving, ownership, and adapting to evolving requirements.
