🌟 About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, develop, and scale secure, high-performance backend services and AI-powered applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, FastAPI/Flask, microservices architecture, Microsoft Azure, and distributed systems, along with practical experience integrating Generative AI capabilities, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.

The role involves designing scalable APIs, optimizing backend performance, implementing cloud-native solutions, ensuring production reliability, and providing technical leadership while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and DevOps teams.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful/gRPC APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Flask.

🔹 Architect cloud-native microservices and distributed systems on Microsoft Azure.

🔹 Optimize backend performance through asynchronous programming, concurrency management, caching, and efficient resource utilization.

🔹 Design and maintain data models and schemas using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

🔹 Implement Generative AI capabilities, including LLM integration, RAG pipelines, vector database integration, and AI orchestration workflows.

🔹 Build reliable and resilient services using rate limiting, circuit breakers, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation.

🔹 Implement observability through logging, distributed tracing, and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.

🔹 Collaborate with DevOps teams on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), containerization, and automated CI/CD pipelines.

🔹 Implement secure backend solutions using OAuth2/OIDC, encryption, and secure API management practices.

🔹 Work with messaging systems and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hubs.

🔹 Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.

🔹 Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor engineers.

🔹 Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

🧠 Must-Have Skills

✅ 7+ years of hands-on backend development experience.

✅ Strong proficiency in Python, with practical experience using FastAPI and/or Flask.

✅ Expertise in RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and backend architecture.

✅ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.

✅ Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

✅ Experience with system design, design patterns, scalability, caching, concurrency, and performance optimization.

✅ Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.

✅ Knowledge of Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), and modern DevOps practices.

✅ Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hubs.

✅ Understanding of backend security, authentication, authorization, and encryption practices.

✅ Experience designing reliable, scalable, and production-ready backend systems.

✅ Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

⭐ Good to Have

➕ Experience with Generative AI, LLM integration, RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases.

➕ Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and AI-powered application development.

➕ Azure certifications in cloud services or AI application development.

➕ Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.

➕ Frontend development experience with React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

➕ Experience mentoring developers and driving engineering best practices.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
