Mobile Engineer
Must have
- 4–8 years of mobile engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience building and
shipping scaled production mobile applications.
- Strong Mobile native, React Native and Type script expertise. You should be comfortable
building substantial cross-platform applications and understand the iOS and Android
fundamentals underneath React Native.
- Excellent web and mobile frontend craft. You care about the details of the consumer
experience → layouts, interactions, animations, loading states, accessibility and performance and
can turn a Figma design into a polished production experience.
- Experience with native mobile capabilities. You have worked with areas such as push
notifications, deep links, authentication, permissions, background tasks, secure storage and
third-party SDKs.
- Production ownership. You are comfortable debugging production issues and working with
analytics, crash reporting, testing, CI/CD and App Store/Play Store releases.
- Strong product instinct. You think beyond whether a feature technically works and care about
whether it is intuitive, fast and useful to the person using it
- High ownership and independence. You are comfortable working in a small team and
remotely, making good technical decisions and taking responsibility for getting things shipped.
- AI-native development mindset. You actively use tools such as Claude Codex or similar tools as
part of your engineering workflow. This is consistent with the broader engineering approach
we're building at Genie.
