Job Description

As we build our footprint for our “Next-Gen” Gilead Capabilities Center, we’re looking for innovative IT engineers and leaders who will reimagine how we bring medicines to patients. Working under the guidance of your manager, You will accelerate our pipelines and workflows, automate activities, build new technology standards and set a culture of curiosity and excellence. Job Responsibilities

• Lead the hands-on development of full-stack applications integrated with AI/ML and GenAI capabilities for global pharma and enterprise use cases
• Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end, back-end, API, and AI-enabled application components across cloud-native platforms
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and business teams to deliver intuitive, high-performance digital solutions
• Develop and integrate AI/ML models, LLM-based services, and intelligent workflows into enterprise applications
• Collaborate to drive best practices in software engineering, testing, code quality, security, and performance optimization, adopt where applicable
• Support CI/CD automation, production deployments, monitoring, and issue resolution in partnership with DevOps teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in engineering standards and agile delivery practices

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years experience in full-stack or AI-focused software engineering

OR

• Master’s degree and 2+ years experience in full-stack or AI-focused software engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks, back-end technologies, APIs, databases, and cloud-native application development
• Expertise in integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of scalable application architecture, microservices, and secure coding practices
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills within global teams
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and AI application architectures
• Exposure to MLOps, observability, and AI model deployment practices would be a plus
• Experience building data-intensive or analytics-driven enterprise platforms desirable
• Relevant certifications in cloud, AI/ML, or full-stack engineering technologies preferred
