Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong technical background and extensive experience in Retail Systems and POS (Point of Sale).

The candidate should have strong knowledge of technical architecture, Retail POS/Store systems, eCommerce platforms, software development and enterprise technology delivery.

Technical expertise and POS/Retail domain experience are mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage medium to large-scale, cross-divisional and multi-year technology projects.
• Own end-to-end project delivery including requirements, design, development, testing and implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Identify and proactively manage cross-project dependencies and technical risks.
• Communicate project/program status to stakeholders, sponsors and senior leadership.
• Support strategic technology roadmap and portfolio planning.
• Drive implementation of new technologies and vendor integrations.
• Conduct technical walkthroughs with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, QA, Business and other cross-functional teams.
• Ensure smooth and stable production operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization and operational efficiency.
• Support organizational change management and complex technology implementations.

Mandatory Technical & Domain Skills

• Strong Technical Program Management experience.
• Strong understanding of technical architecture and enterprise systems.
• Strong experience in Retail Systems / POS.
• Understanding of Store/POS systems vs. eCommerce platforms, including key similarities and differences.
• Experience in Retail technology development and delivery.
• Experience working with:
• Unix / Linux-based systems
• Python
• J2EE Application Servers
• Clustered Database Systems
• Source Control Systems
• Strong understanding of software development and technology delivery processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field, or equivalent technology experience.
• 10+ years of Project/Program Management experience.
• 10+ years of software project design, development and implementation experience.
• 5+ years of Retail Systems / POS development and delivery experience.
• Experience creating and executing implementation strategies for complex systems.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, Lean or other delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency.
