About Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to serve as a functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Grants and Project Costing modules. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PeopleSoft and a proven track record of designing system enhancements, developing functional specifications, and providing production support. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage system configurations, testing, and deployments effectively while ensuring seamless operations during critical financial processing.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the functional SME for Grants and Project Costing modules, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Design system enhancements and develop detailed functional specifications for technical developers.
  • Perform configuration, testing, and deployment of system enhancements to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Support PUM upgrades, patches, and conduct thorough regression testing to maintain system integrity.
  • Provide production support and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions in financial processing.
  • Offer off-hours support as needed for critical grants or financial processing issues.

Expertise You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience with PeopleSoft, specifically in Grants and Project Costing modules.
  • Strong understanding of system configuration, testing methodologies, and deployment processes.
  • Proven ability to develop functional specifications and work closely with technical teams.
  • Experience in supporting PUM upgrades and performing regression testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide timely issue resolution.
  • Experience in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial processing and grants management best practices.
  • Deep expertise in PeopleSoft Grants and Project Costing business processes.
  • Experience providing production support for enterprise financial systems.
  • Strong capability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system enhancements.
  • Experience coordinating testing, deployment, and release activities.
  • Ability to support critical financial processing cycles while ensuring system stability and compliance.
  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
