Apply Now About the Role
You will have two closely connected responsibilities:
1. Product & Software Development — approximately 70%
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain GloJourn's CRM and immigration case-management platform.
2. IT & Technology Operations — approximately 30%
Manage GloJourn's internal technology environment, including employee laptops, software, accounts, access, security, and day-to-day technical support.
The balance may evolve as GloJourn's technology platform matures. This is not a role where you will simply receive tickets and work on predefined tasks.
- You will have the opportunity to build the technology foundation of a growing company from the ground up.
- You will work closely with the founder and business team, understand real-world immigration operations, translate those processes into technology, and see your work directly impact how the company operates.
If you enjoy building products, solving problems, taking ownership, and working across technology and business operations, this role may be a strong fit.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
A. Product & Full-Stack Development
- Design and develop GloJourn's CRM and case-management platform.
- Translate business requirements and operational workflows into practical technology solutions.
- Develop frontend and backend components, APIs, databases, integrations, and business logic.
- Build functionality for client onboarding, case management, document tracking, task management, notifications, dashboards, reporting, and related workflows.
- Develop role-based access controls and appropriate user permissions.
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs where required.
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
- Use version control and appropriate development practices.
- Test new functionality and resolve defects.
- Manage application deployments and releases.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and system architecture documentation.
- Recommend appropriate technology choices as the platform evolves.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational processes.
B. IT & Internal Technology Operations
- Set up and configure laptops and other technology equipment for employees.
- Install, configure, and maintain required business software and applications.
- Manage Microsoft 365 and other business technology platforms.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, access, and licenses.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a technology perspective.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, printing, email, and other routine technology issues.
- Maintain device security, endpoint protection, MFA, password policies, and access controls.
- Manage domains, DNS, email configuration, and related technology infrastructure.
- Maintain appropriate backup and recovery practices.
- Maintain an inventory of company devices, software, licenses, and technology assets.
- Coordinate with external technology vendors when specialist support is required.
- Establish basic IT policies and procedures as GloJourn grows.
C. Security & Data Protection
Because GloJourn's systems may handle sensitive immigration and personal documentation, security is an important part of this role.
You will:
- Implement appropriate access controls and least-privilege practices.
- Maintain MFA and secure authentication practices.
- Help protect company devices and systems from unauthorized access.
- Maintain appropriate backup and recovery processes.
- Identify and escalate security risks.
- Support implementation of data protection and information-security policies.
- Maintain appropriate audit trails and system logs where required.
- Work with external security/compliance specialists when deeper expertise is required.
Note: This role is not expected to independently provide legal or regulatory advice. Compliance requirements will be supported by appropriate legal, privacy, security, and other specialists as GloJourn grows.

What We're Looking For
