About The Role
This is a hands-on IC role for someone early in their career who is eager to learn a modern stack, pick up strong engineering habits, and get comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools as part of daily delivery.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain features across React front ends and .NET 10 (C#) back ends, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code for well-scoped tickets and features.
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor) as part of your day-to-day workflow, with guidance on how to use them responsibly and effectively.
- Participate in code reviews both giving and receiving feedback to build good engineering habits.
- Work with QA/SDET partners to fix defects and improve test coverage on the features you build.
- Learn the portfolio's applications and contribute to bug fixes and small enhancements across business units.
- Parity mindset match legacy behavior; automated tests + regression vs old system
What We're Looking For
- Up to 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Good understanding of React (components, hooks, basic state management) for front-end development.
- Good understanding of .NET (C#); exposure to .NET 10 or willingness to ramp up quickly.
- Comfort with SQL Server and relational data: reading queries, understanding existing tables, and testing against a shared dev database.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and how a full stack web application fits together.
- Some hands-on exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor (or similar GitHub Copilot, Windsurf), or strong enthusiasm to adopt them quickly.
- Good debugging instincts and a habit of asking questions when stuck.
- Clear communication and a collaborative attitude, comfortable working with and learning from senior engineers.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to legacy .NET Framework or Web Forms
- Academic or personal projects involving React and/or .NET.
- Exposure to Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Interest in eventually working on application modernization or migration projects.
Why Join
You'll join a newly formed advisory function with direct mentorship from senior engineers and architects, exposure to a diverse portfolio of SaaS businesses, and hands-on experience with modern, AI-assisted engineering practices from day one.
